They Are Like Embers

off the top of my head and on the fly,



living and thinking so quick to fast to die,



never making plans only writing this shit down,



every couple years , move thru a couple different towns,



running through the women, booze and gas in my tank,



need to make a list of all the poeple I gotta thank,



a couple to my left a million in my sight



so much to make up doubt I'll ever get it right.



bouncing job to job point A to point B



my schemes never really have a golden sheen,



keep jotting down my ideas maybe attain those dreams,



My dreams of prosperity and everythings as it seems,



got the one who loves me and a way to pay the rent, nice little front yard with a white picket fence,



perfect little place to call my residance,



Room for the kids a clean car in the drive,



all my things got em the way I survive



only real problem is....
