My attempt at a poem with a feeling of the song "Whisky in the Jar" by Metallica.
Well, I'm the rollin' stone,
used to being alone,
and I never had time to wonder
About this, about that,
whether fiction or fact,
while I roamed 'neath the rolling thunder.

Then she came along
like a heavenly song
and I started to think about "love";
in her jade-green eyes,
to my great surprise,
I found faith in this thing from above.

Jack of all trades,
master of none,
wonderful lover,
second-born son.

And so she was mine,
at least for this time,
it seemed our love was never-failing.
The sky was so blue
when it was us two,
it seemed it would be smooth sailing.

She loved all my flaws,
they gave her no pause,
and I think I viewed her the same.
We thought it was forever
we would be together,
but the young think love is a game.

Jack of all trades,
master of none,
wonderful lover,
second-born son.

Footsteps making dirt swirl,
carried me far from that girl,
who left me in the winter's cold snow.
Twas my fault she left;
now my heart is bereft,
from that beautiful girl I used to know.

So now she is gone,
and the shadows grow long,
and the only fault I see is mine.
I'll drink her away,
you know what they say,
don't know what you have ....til it's left you behind.
