The flavor of friendship, love, and betrayal

Forgetting your early promises with the moon
Shutting out reality when hurt slices you open
Living through the piercing memories of betrayal

Silently opening your eyes with the beat of dawn
Fragments of dreams flying out through your window
Confronting reality halfway to your home
Carefully touching the diffuse shape of hope

And when awakening from your despair's dark thoughts
