This poem is based on the emotion of insecurity.
The mask that hangs on the wall

What secrets lie beyond those eyes?

One being red and the other is black

Simple colors to you

Yet to me they symbolize

What goes on inside my heart?

The red is for all the blood that races

Through and through

All the blood that I would bleed if

I was to ever lose you

The black is the lonely emptiness

The solitude of despair I would have

If you should ever leave my side

Both being separate

But together as one

These are the secrets of the mask

The secrets that I try to hide
