We are drawn to each other like moths to flames,
We are drawn to each other
like moths to flames,
hungry, wanting, needing closeness –
affection, understanding, love.
We ask for it, receiving, yet
we can’t really see, or know
what it feels like or when it’s
in our hands for sure,
no example complete.
Fragments here and there
give a clue of the expression
of the sound, touch, taste, smell
♪the look of love…♪
But always, something’s missing,
not quite enough.  Still hungry,
wanting, needing closeness –
affection, understanding, still thirsting
for love that is willing to suffer.
Kind, not envying or boasting or
being full of itself.  It does not act
in such a way that is opposite of
what it is said to be, seeking to
serve itself first, or easily angered,
being preoccupied with mal-formation.
But it rejoices in TRUTH!  Sustaining,
believing, hoping, remaining.  Love
that never fails, is the key to itself;
it is perfect.  Infinitely, it is the way
the truth, the life.  The gift of
everlasting we each seek in our
souls that are hungry, wanting,
needing closeness – affection, understanding, love.
