Train in my head


In my mind I jump on the train
I look to the left I look to the right
No hand to grab me on either side
Can I make this sacrifice?
Money takes a hold but I have none
So I don’t lose anything anymore

The train roars with power
And engulfs my racing heart
Who will find me first at the end of this track
I climb onto the rails and settle into this night
Intact and ready to begin I touch the metal
Pull myself on board and now I am one
With this machine that is taking me
Somewhere else that won’t be real
Only until it stops at its end
Unknowingly this train
Will become my new destiny
