A few of my thoughts on the insights of a freshman year philosophy student.
You’ve got the world figured out,
An essay,
A poem,
Another quote from freshman philosophy.

You volunteer at the Animal Shelter,
Eat Ramen Noodles,
Buy clothes at the thrift store,
Go to classes,
Write angry poems and
Rage, RAGE against the stoicism of
Society, to the underpriveledged?
Misjudged?
Misguided?

Poverty,
You know magic money.
Mommy and Daddy with their
Designer wallets and crisp
White checks in
The mail
Is always on time and the electric is
Never cut off
Hot water in the morning.
