Wolf Wisdom passed down.

Wolf Mother's Legacy

Wolf Mother, speak to me,
teach me all that you have seen.

Wolf Mother, sing to me
    the music of our ancestry.

Wolf Mother, come to me,
    in my dreams, we’re family.

Wolf Mother, walk with me
as I seek my guide to be.

Wolf Mother, if you’re she,
shield me as I learn to be.

Wolf people, loyal are we
to those who call us family.

Wolf child, remember me
as you live out your destiny.

Wolf Mother's tales will never cease,
but you’re the wise one they will seek.

Wolf child, do not weep for me,
    you have become my legacy.

Wolf  Mother's Legacy

Wolf Mother, speak to me,
teach me all that you have seen.
Wolf Mother, sing to me
    the music of our ancestry.
Wolf Mother, come to me,
    in my dreams, we’re family.
Wolf Mother, walk with me
as I seek my guide to be.
Wolf Mother, if you’re she,
protect me as I learn to be
Wolf people, loyal are we
to all of those who want to see.
Wolf child, with you I’ll be,
as you live out your destiny.
Wolf Mother's work will someday cease.
You'll be the wise one they will seek.
Wolf child, can't you see,
    you have become my legacy.

This is written in honor of my "nother mother" (step mother) who recently returned from a spiritual journey and found her animal teacher is the great teacher, the Grey Wolf.  She has been my spiritual mother and guide through my path to adulthood (since I was seven), and I thank her for continuing to take that job seriously.  I also thank my Dad and the Creator for making us family and my 7 yo son who declared the other day (before my stepmother’s journey) that, if he were an Indian, he would be called “Grey wolf”.  This was by no prompting whatsoever.  Coincidence?  Who knows?
