More than a year

It's been more than a year.......                                         
    Since the day we first locked eyes, since I first saw your smile
      More than a year since I've slept at night, and since your hair first caught the light
    Since I first knew your name, and I knew i'd never be the same.
    Since I started getting more A's and less B's, because I'm so caught up in my daydreams
    More than a year since you spoke my name,and the way it sounded drove me insane.
    More than a year in which I felt so scared, because I was sure that you didn't care
    More than a year of memories, of which I'll never be set free
    In that year I chose to wait, my senses made me hesitate
    A year to be so caught up in you, you were in my hands but fell right through
    And now I fear that's what I'll do, falling, falling over you
