for my mother who past away 06/15/2008
GONE

My mother is now gone, she is forever no more

I have sadness deep within my soul my very core

Many miles and years kept us apart, how I hope

She knew I loved her with all my heart.

I can never have those years back all the time we lost,

If we could I’d pay the price no matter the cost

We had times where we were at each others throats its true

Regardless I always did love you

Don’t put off today, when there may not be another tomorrow

I did, now my heart will forever be filled with sorrow

I am sorry I couldn’t be there for you as your life ended

Hope you I am glad that we had things mended

My brother he called right after you’d gone and left this here place

She is in no more pain he saw that in your face

I am sorry that I wasn’t there with you for the last beat of your heart

Like you for me when mine just began to start

Mother I feel so sad that I didn’t get to kiss you goodbye

Damn how I wish you didn’t die

All the memories are playing inside of my head

I still cant believe your gone, your really dead

I want to pick up the phone and call you , but I know that your not home, oh mama I feel so all alone

You gave me life you gave me love , I hope your looking down from the heavens above

Take care and I hope I will see you again

For now your on another journey let it begin

Now as hard as it is and it will be

I know its time for you to go and be free

I am trying not to cry for you because you asked me not too

But its so hard when I just really miss you

One day I will not cry for you but until then mamma bye I love you
