people in our society should be judged by thier achievements and talents.
I believe people in our society shold be judged by their achievements and talents instead of social standing of class.
Meritocracy is defined as, "a system in which advancement is based on individual ability and achievements."
There are hundreds of rags-to-riches stories that prove ordinary people from all walks of life can shed their social chains and accomplish greatness, regardless of class or wealth. That's not to say that in today's society being rich or popular doesn't help, those gifted people just have it easier than the rest of us.
What you do in life is what ultimately defines who you are. If some one highjack's a plane and the people aboard it stand up and fight back. Does it really matter if it was first class or coach, if it was and economical flight or a private jet? Is one nobler than the other? Does the annual income or class of those courageous citizens diminish their heroism? Definitely not!
Everyone who deserves respect and praise is because they earn it, not because they were born with it! we might not be able to choose who we are but we can choose who we become. Our achievements and accomplishments define who we are.
