Assignment One Bio

I arrived at Writing.com because I was searching for a place where I could brush up on my writing and possibly learn new techniques by reading other peoples writing. I found this website by using a search engine tool and as soon as I explored the site I knew it was what I was looking for.
In the future I plan to go to college and get a degree in sports journalism. I want to start school in the next six months or so. I plan on attending a small community college for a while and then when I get to start taking classes for my major, I plan on attending The Ohio State University.
I decided on becoming a sports journalist shortly after I graduated high school. My senior year I took a few English classes, a speech class, and a journalism class. That is when I realized how much I liked to write, before then I never really enjoyed it. I really enjoy all types of writing, but journalism just really interests me and I really succeeded in that class.
By taking this course, I hope that I can strengthen my writing and learn new techniques. It never hurts to learn new things even if the course doesn’t directly relate to where I want to go with my writing. I believe that everything I learn can be used in any type of writing, and it will make me a better writer.
