"I do not fear the dark," said he.
"The shadow creatures don't scare me.

That goblin dancing on the stair,
I know that he's not really there.

The wailing ghost outside the door
Is just the wind, and nothing more.

The claws tap, tapping on the pane
Are nothing but the sleet and rain.

Those thumping footsteps in the hall,
Nobody's there, no one at all.

The Boogeyman beneath my bed,
I'm sure he's moved away," he said.

"There's nothing scary in the night,
But maybe I'll turn on the light."
