"Adieu"

My most dearest and precious friends,
it seems the final chapter
of my life has come to an end.
But before you turn that last page,
forever closing the cover of my book,
a moment of your time,
for I have something to say.

We came to meet for a reason,
why I really don't know,
perhaps to share the wisdom
that we have each learned.

I often said, "if I ever won the lottery
I would take care of my friends first,
then my family."
Little did I realize, I already earned
that covenant prize,
when each of you entered into my life.

Our friendship got its' start
when you brighten the dark corners of my heart.
My Heavenly sent gifts, which I so adore,
gave my life its much needed lift
and so much more.

You welcomed me, with open arms,
cherished smiles and loving hugs.
Showered me with trust, loyalty and love,
more than I ever dreamed of.

They say the
Gates of Heaven are pearly white,
I can't wait to get inside,
take my Fathers' hand and walk the roads
He's paved in gold.

Admit to Him all my wrongs,
while praising Him for sending "YOU
my most treasured gifts," to keep me strong.
I shall ask him to encircle you with His loving arms,
protect each of you from any harm.

I bid you "Adieu",
know that I always loved each one of you.
My friends, thanks for being there when others didn't care.
My life will be so filled with your happiness, love and faith,
as I make my journey through Heavens Gates.
