Dreams

They came to me in a dream.

Hoping to get,

What it was I didn’t know.

The harder I searched for answers,

The closer I came to a dead end.

And the further I ventured,

The darker it became.

My time was running out.

Images shoot past me,

Like cars on a freeway.

Things begin clicking into place.

I’m seeing my hopes and dreams,

Altogether as if it were real.

Could this be the future?

Or could it just be what I want,

To be the future.

I’m drawing nearer to my answers.

And then I wake up,

And know that my answers will never be found.
