The Moon Drips Dew

Tonight your on the moon dripping drops of dew
while here I sit loving and missing you
Today you sat on the sun and sifted sand
while I prayed for just one more simple touch of your hand

Tonight, the stars they all sway tall
while I long to catch you if ever from Heaven you fall
The clouds, they close in while you ride them as they spin
and here I sit praying that one day together we will play again

The wind it whistles and it wails
while on your heart in heaven my soul it sets sail
Down here the rain drops are ripping and rapping
while my tears are gently dripping and sapping

Tonight, the stars they all sway tall
while I long to catch you if ever from Heaven you fall

and here I sit praying that one day together we will play again

Because my sweet dear,
you strum in Heaven
while I strum my guitar sitting here
