Fear -vs- Destiny, Goals, Desires

Some days I see my life as two separate beings…
Fear and
Destiny, Goals, Desires

Destiny, Goals, Desires is watching, listening, feeling the pain of unfulfillment;
wishing it could have a chance…
while fear rules my life; controls my mind

I see an ugly picture
but, its behind an unbreakable glass

I hear the destructive lies…
but, am I the only one who hears the untruths

I smell the stinch of failure…
but no matter how hard I try to rid myself of it or mask it,
it’s still there.

Touch it? Huh!
That’s ridiculous. It’s untouchable.

Reachable? Forget it!
Believe me. I’ve tried.

Taste it? Just enough flavor to give an idea…
of what sweet destiny has planned for me up ahead.

But, first I must go through a process. No shortcuts allowed.
It’s 5-10 steps seem like a million. But, it’s what I must go through to forge ahead.

In the mean time-
Destiny, Goals, Desires is on the outside of my life;
looking in; hoping, wishing, praying,
wanting to be reality.

As fear runs my very being;
reaking havoc; killing my dreams;
dashing my hopes;
drinking from the champagne flute that holds my wishes.

I peer in and I see what goes on
It’s not a pretty picture; nor a beautiful song.

But before I can pursue my Destiny, Goals, Desires
This voyage- I must take on.
