Often a complicated situation can be described as a simple fact.
As a matter of fact

Come over! I don’t bite, not at least tonight.
Let me put my arms around you.
Hear me say I know I have you, but to be
honest, I don’t know for what.
Yet, I don’t know what makes you
so anxious about my words.
I’ve seen you couldn’t take it easy,
So could not I.
But, why?
Is it hatred between you and me?
Is it love?
Is it a knack of fighting?
No! It’s desperate longing
of two very different kinds.
It’s a plain situation, real to the fault,
a very dull one:
I can’t turn the clock back
and you can’t give me what I lack.
