An alternative version of Jesus and Judas's history for a competition |
The Great Assassins Last Feast Judas Iscariot was an assassin of great repute Jesus the guild master accepted no dispute, If your name was on their list, your blood would surely spill The missions accomplished were not for profits in the till, For societies less than desirables there was to be a purge Romans and crooked politicians erased like a tidal surge, Death was cloak and daggers sent in the thick of night Legends in the growing to give your children a fright, Like a winter’s gale blowing through your bones No one dared walk the cobbled streets alone, Murder and robbery fell to an all time low No one wanted Judas, let alone Jesus for their foe, Disguised as your friend, the king or a lover You wouldn’t know where they were till it was over, A sword in an alleyway or poison in your food Everyone prayed to hell that each night they'd live through, For the truly wicked there was no escape As Jesus and Judas would eventually ensure their fate, For many years the assassins swept the shadows clean But in the end perhaps their confidence lost its sheen, With Emperor Nero to be their latest prize The assassins were unsuspectingly cut down to size, Beneath the cloak of friendship, Nero invited them to dine They accepted, not realizing the perilous fate they’d find, For all his insanity, the devious Nero was smart Constantly suspicious he fooled them from the start, A feast of great proportion did the emperor provide A night of drunken revelry, set dangerous worlds to collide, Amid a flurry of naked dancers and sexual pursuits The assassins were distracted by Nero’s tempting fruits, As the sumptuous feast drew to its bloody conclusion The emperor’s palace became a death bed of confusion, By morning's end Jesus and Judas were hung upon the wall A lesson for all to see just how far they’d come to fall, To Nero life did not matter, his politics punished the traitor, As emperor he alone, was the judge, jury and executioner.
