My love for someone and life I am living now.
A New Day.

I have a light that is lit.

Only one other person in this world,

can see this flame I carry inside me.

I try to show them the beautiful things,

inside my heart that is represented by this light I refer to.

If only I were the man that they deserved me to be.

There is a shimmering light that has been lit by them.

This flame is a light of faith, hope, and love.

I want to shine the light of this fire upon the world,

I use this light to navigate my way around in this world now.

Some days I am lost and carry this light high,

to guide myself through the day.

Some days, I am so drained emotionally ,

and I only carry its weight low, and beside me,

when I feel that it may be going out.

Never wanting to let this smoldering fire to extinguish,

I keep rekindling it by adding more pieces,

of my heart to keep this fire burning.

To allow the flames of a secret love to continue to burn.

It is so hard to hold this candle of light,

when no one else is allowed by me to see,

the most beautiful thing I have held in my heart.

It is the heaviest thing that I have held to myself.

I have days when I fear that this light may only be for me,

and that the other person who my fire burns for,

may not carry a equal flame inside them,

like the candle I carry for them.

There are days when I use every ounce of my being,

to search my soul for the strength to keep this candle held high.

I can only pray that through faith, hope, and love that

the day will come when the light from my candle can,

shine upon them, and the world like a beacon only,

equaled by the sunshine when it first breaks,

the horizon to start a new day.
