A .. whimsy
          I am not a pacifist.
I believe in selfdefence and the defence of the common
          good. But, what is justice?

Imagine if duels were legal... again. Flint locks or sabers
to decide a used car lemon law. Is this just?

Consider Duetronomy 24:16, "The children shall not be
punished for the father's sin."  Does it contradict 1Cor.15:22,
"And as in Adam all have sinned, so also in Christ all are saved." ?

My uncle Bob was a Priest. He answered this, "Dt.24:16
is about a legal trial. Genesis is about God's judgement of
          original sin."

But the works of God are perfect according to  Dt.32:4.
          Does good come from evil?

Free will is debatable. Trust in God is wishfull thinking.
If someone kicks you down a flight of stairs, should you
          love them?

A murderer is condembed to hang. A just man offers to take
his place. Is the murderer no longer a murderer? Should the
family of the murderer be hanged with him?

In China you can be executed for drunk driving. No accident need
occur. Littering can bring a long prison sentence in Taiwan.
Where is the selfevident truth in justice?

This is the dilemma in a jury trial; are the jurors stupid?
Is the rule of the court, just or deception? There are unjust laws.
Interracial marriage was illegal in America. Now it is legal.
Why? Is this a whimsical opion or social progress?

Is every law to be questioned? The Supreme Court is not
infalable and neither is the Senate or popular opion.
Ultilitarian societies are always dictatorships. An elite
decide, what is most usefull for the privilaged.

I don't have a diffinative answer. Do you?
I like debate, but that is not exact either.
Just think about the consequences, before you act.
          And have a nice day!

          :)!
