Emotion, love, hate
Why are we afraid of showing emotion these days? Are we that shallow that we don’t like the idea of people seeing us cry? Why is that, when it’s a part of the human nature? If it wasn’t we wouldn’t be able to cry, scream, laugh, or show any form of emotion.

Emotion is a huge part of who we are. If we’re happy we show it, so why not do the same if we’re sad? Why do our egos not allow us to show when we’re in despair? We have to get past this foolish idea that we should be strong all the time, because no-one can be. It’s just not possible. I’m not saying we should all walk around looking glum all the time, only to let people we love into our hearts, to feel our pain and to be able to talk about it with them, instead of keeping it bottled up inside us where it’s just going to eat away at us for the rest of our lives.

Our ego needs to diminish in size, it is getting too big for most of us, and we need to get back to reality, which doesn’t include the ‘I’m stronger than everyone else’ mentality. Letting people see us at our most vulnerable can be eye-opening for everyone concerned, not only does someone else learn something new about us, but we learn something new about ourselves too, when we allow others to see us at our worst is an awesome experience that not many people get to participate in.

Next time you feel happy, show it, if you feel sad, angry, hurt, frustrated, tell someone and together you might find an answer to why you’re feeling the way you do. We all need to reach out to each other and understand each other more than we do now. We need to stop walking around with our eyes shut and open them to all that is around us and to smile at everything we see in an effort to make the world a nicer place.
