She sits there as the pages catch her tears
Each droplet has a story.
Longer than her book with hundreds of pages.
Each droplet has a story, has a song.
And this is just one of her tears.
The one that deals with her fears.

Although you told her she would be like that
She will not be like that
The determination grows
Although you told a child that they would be that way
They will not be that way
Her determination shows.

But that's a different tear,
A different story,
A different song.
