Tears

When not in my presence-
when I take brief absence-
in your eyes come
tears.

Yet when I am 'round,
your ears bathing in my soothing sound,
near your eyes still form
tears.

Upon hearing your sweet words-
I know they be the truest I've e'er heard-
below MY eyes streak
tears.

Now my skies are darkened this day;
Yes, no sun present to play!
So should I shed
tears?

Since my sun shan't appear,
it's warmth to not be felt near,
from my cheek shall now drip
tears.
