My bff Mal and I pick topics for each other to write about... Here's a poem about winter
I walk out into the snow
Silence
A sudden rush of chilly air
A whisper
One fine tuned note of the wind rings continuously

Looking around at the blanketed field
Unexpected daydream
There I am laying in the snow as a child
Making frosty snow angels
Throwing numerous, large snowballs at my sister
I open my eyes

Icy flakes form upon my eyelashes
A hand rested on my hip
My love
Gently kisses me on the forehead
We walk into the cold

Taking sips of hot cocoa
Warming and pleasant
A light blend of chocolate and mint
With an airy twist of whipped cream
And the covering of caramel

The night approaches
Singing of winters coming
A gentle hum, a sweet melody in the air
A soothing lullaby
The beginning of the season of togetherness
