Sad poem that is dedicated to all who have lost friends through suicide |
Suicide Loudly the church bells sing, A sad, sweet, melody of ring, ring, ring, You thought your life so bad that you decided to die, In my head, I scream, why, why, why? I should’ve known you’d take your life, All you talked about was that stupid knife, How your problems would go away, Your life, the price you’d have to pay I had asked what was bothering you, And if there were anything I could do, You lied when you said you were fine, The note said you hated yourself line after line! And loudly the church bells sing, A sad, sweet, melody of ring, ring, ring, You thought your life so bad that you decided to die, In my head, I scream, Why, why, why? Maybe if I had paid attention to the things you had said, You wouldn’t be laying here dead, I’ll blame myself everyday, And wish it could be undone every time I pray, What I can’t forgive myself for, is that I knew, That something was wrong with you, As you lay here dead, I wish it were me instead, So now I hope people thinking of suicide see, How it affects others like you and me. Turn to friends in time of need, Before you decide to do that terrible deed. Your friends don’t want to hear, Loud church bells sing, A sad, sweet melody, of ring, ring, ring, They don’t want to hear you thought your life so bad that you decided to die, And they don’t want to scream, why, why, why. So consider this before you… commit suicide. |
