Salvation

Why do I feel lost?
This life is now confusing,
Questions are what I have,
Answers are what I need,
I seek but I do not find them,
Where is my Salvation?

For so long I felt safe,
For so long I felt worthy,
Then darkness became my companion,
An unwanted companion by my side,
The Leader of Darkness knocks at my door,
He beckons to be let in.

I stand on the other side of my door,
I push with all of my strength,
Pushing against his power,
The power that could ruin me,
Am I already ruined?
At moments I cannot tell.

Where are you?
My Savior and Salvation,
Have you left me for his clutches?
Deep within I know you are still here,
But I feel so unworthy,
I feel so lost.

Save me,
Be my constant companion,
Be my light that banishes the darkness,
Save me from myself,
For I am my own worst enemy,
Please...save me.
