My friend with each breath why should you bemoan?
You need not think that life itself is dark.
Do not forget, though embers may be gone,
There lurks in ashes just a tiny spark.
You need but just a spark to have a flame
As long as you have a burning desire.
That spark, my friend, ignites your total frame
And truly enkindles in you a fire.
In fact, in this world short is our sojourn,
We can’t afford to waste any moment.
To win this race should be our sole concern,
Though we may face too much impediment.
Arise and lift your spirits, shed your gloom.
Beyond the horizon sunlight does loom.
