A short poem focusing on imagery.
Rain falls
in millions
of droplets,
sometimes
pouring
in sheets,
or dripping
from the sky
one
by
one.

Running down trees,
drops trail along
the drenched branches
to the green leaves
in rivulets
that merge
to form
a large
clear sphere
of water, just hanging;
it hesitates,
gathers strength,
then, frees itself
to meet the thirsty ground
with a tiny
plop.
