A day in the life of a cat named Tiger. For the Terrace assignment #44.
Oh, how glorious it is to be me!
Pampered, purr-fect, and so carefree.

Mornings pass, basking in sun's warm glow,
Sprawled out lazily by the East window.

The boy awakes now, and I must retreat,
A king bed for me, off to dreams fluffy and sweet.

I stretch, I yawn, I arch my back,
Now it is time for an afternoon snack.

Now fortified, willing to start my day,
I seek somewhere to pounce and play.

The boy left a ball, attached to a string!
Oh, the bountiful joy this will bring!

I bat and jump, chase and then bounce,
My energy soon spent, every last ounce.

Another bite, then to the couch I retire,
Purring and grinning, though I'm no Cheshire!

Thoughts of mischief start dancing in my head,
Just about the time my people turn in for bed.

Now it's time, what kind of trouble can I find?
Do they think the lights off makes me blind?

I spy a moth, flitting by the door,
This will be fun, who could ask for more?

I chase it around, all through the house,
Drat, too much noise, my people will rouse!

I dart and hide under the chair,
They'll never think to look for me there.

No light has turned on, the coast is clear,
But night will come soon to an end I fear.

I'll curl up right here, and wait until first light,
Comes through the East window, yellow and bright.

How much luckier can one cat be?
Oh how glorious it is to be me!
