the life of a lost man in a hidden world.
A tale of mine I would do tell if you would care to hear
I hope although when said and done I you do not then fear

My name Is Louis of the sea and to it I am bound
For that was where my sis and I were first in basket found

There we grew with only each other, out would be foster gone
The apples, berries, fruits there grew to feed us on the lawn

The faries in the woods nearby came in to wish us well
Many of their charming ways of that I'd love to tell

The countries though, were not of kind that time in normandy
Over the hills came marching did the troops of germany

With spite for all who knew not well their ways of dicipline
We were taken far from home to work the in camp wherein

The magic folk did not take kind to Nazi treatment though
A many debt they owed us you see, so escape they helped us go

Through mist of grey, in morning light, the harpies then did come
While infantry, then did not see, cause they were drinking rum

To manor then on seaside cliff, where try did we return
But only found the new made bunker guarding sea that churned

We hid in woodland, enchanted so, hoping to wait the tide
Stole from barracks, stores and warehouse to make our hunger bide

The day did come though, across the shores the allied then did sail
the Nazis lost, defenses broken, unable to avail

My sister though, she did not see the British victory
An allied shell fell from the sky and claimed her misery

The tanks that rolled into our land did not care for the wood
And farie home was trambled down, the faries there crushed where stood

The harpeis fled to lands unknown, to dodge a similar fate
I waved good bye, hoping only see them on later date

The sea it was, a calmer now, the mermaids had their feast
The soldiers corpses fed their hunger, that to say the least

I wandered south, myself and I, my home was then no more
I hoped to find a sheltered place that I may write my lore

Found at southern tip of spain, a wiccan sweet and odd
With her I stayed, for longest days, we fished the sea for cod

We lived together, our time so sweet, in blissfull paradise
With love unbound, we lived our ways, the warm nights did entice

Our child born in month to come, we waited patiently
But then dissaster, stuck her down, the winds so hatefully

My love was lost, my child too, to cold and wicked waves
The mermaids though, did come to us, and I they helped to save

Her body though, when brouh to me, had met it's water grave
I buried her, along the shore, and death I only craved

I then did travel to the east, along the shores I knew
I found a port, abndond see, with nothing but a shrew

She gave me then, the only ship, left in port to crew
And sail the sea, I did again, to find a home anew

The middle ocean, anchient was, and filled with wonders all
The mariners, a tale do tell, of any they can recall

But in the magic world I was, adept enough to see
The way the faries showed to me, a home in scicily

There I crashed upon the rocks, lining islands shore
A manion there, was to be found, home to those ignored

A hallowed home I had then found, nothing but the ghosts
Still dwelled in those, the hallowed halls, to me they pleaded host

They told me well of place I was, and where to find a home
I wandered out, to seek it down, but long was I alone

The hills and fields, I then did travel, a nomad of the part
To shores I stayed, as allways bound they to my own heart

I found a town, this one alive, of traders smiths and guilds
I lived a while, in the sprawl where would I would ships build

Though no one knew, a well of ways, the language that I spoke
But learn I did, the tongue of theirs, never did I choke

Alas although, the worst did come, as it had before
The sickness swept, the townsfolk all, in city by the shore.

I left the place, in ship I made, with only sick of crew.
And of all the place to land did I, the town of only the shrew

She drug inside, my half dead body, nearly lost and sung
I asked her then, to give me warmth, my end was soon to come

She gave me blanket, warm it was, my body like a mouse
The time I saw, my end so nigh, I died there in that house.

Now I haunt this hallowed town, the shrew has long been gone
The fairies though, have then come by to sing a better song

The world has changed, I saw it all, as town engulfed in tide
Cross I can, now town is gone, I to the other side

What lay out there, I do not know, but see I shall soon sail
Louis darkling is name, and this has been my tale
