A dedication for a friend.
Eric

One more town, to swallow us whole
To get out alive, intact with your soul
I've lost more than my friends; I've lost my brothers
I've seen too many blank faced dad's and grieving mothers
We're always the same age, glass ceiling for my closest
Skeletons hidden, keep your feelings in the closet
Building up so much pain, they eventually lost it
I wish life was a video game, just straight up pause it
Sit them down and explain it all out
Talk to them what it's like, don't leave us in doubt
Watching friends come and go, its all too much
Give anything now, for a handshake or hug, just a fucking touch
I couldn't see it coming, I shoulda seen it coming
I never gave enough, its all about the loving
World keeps spinning, we keep sinning
Life goes on, but it don't mean im not missing
Everyday youre in my life, we were tight
Best of bro's, always in sight
Back to back, day to day, night to night
But now I'm up here, and you're down in the dirt
Transferred all your pain to me, now I'm full of hurt
But I know you did what you thought you had to
And now I'm just hoping you're with God and he watches over you
Like I hope you watch over us, 'cause help in this life is a must
I'm signing out man, cut down the frequency and maybe you'll hear me
Maybe for a second or two you'll feel me, and understand how much we miss you everyday
Oh cherry hill, how many will you kill?
How many people will you take, how many holes in the ground will you fill?
So let four winds blow, I don't know which way to go
I guess anywhere is better than here, because everything gets worse year after year.
And I'm tired of the tears, I'm tired of forgetting with a belly full of beer
I just want nothing more than that my brother's will never leave, they'll always be near.
Oh If I could pull you outta that grave, I'm sorry
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I know how you felt.
I know how hard life can get.
