A prompt on LiveJournal that I thought I would transfer over to here.
Her cold hands wrap around mine as we lie there, in the grassy field. The clouds come rolling in, covering up the sun like a blanket. Her head rolls towards mine; she takes a deep breath, and exhales softly. My eyes watch her every move, from the parting of her lips, to her slender arm, slithering its way through her long curly hair.

She begins to speak, her soft voice echoing through my ears, flowing more exquisitely than the most beautiful of symphonies. My mind doesn't process the words; it can't for that matter, not at this moment. All I can do is look up at the sky, and feel the cool wind blow across my face, ever so gently as I lay there, with the blades of grass prickling the back of my neck. I close my eyes for what feels like an eternity as cool drops of water delicately land on my face.

The rain stops for a moment, and I open my eyes. There she is, the one I revere so much. Her smile feels warm, as if the clouds weren't blocking the sky, and it had been the beautiful day it once was just a few minutes ago. I manage to release a smile, while still staring into those lovely blue eyes. Her face moves towards mine, and our lips meet. Her kiss feels like silk, and melts away any worries and troubles in my mind. Then, the moment is gone; her face pulls away and returns to my side.

I feel the rain, this time falling down to the earth harder. Slowly, I rise to my feet and help up this girl, whom I didn't deserve, not in a hundred lifetimes. Once again, her cold hands wrap around mine, and we walk towards the car, to leave this field we hold dear to our hearts, and this cloudy sky, where rain drops fall ever so gently.
