Ending a friendship of circumstances of life , At the wrong time and place.
On the outside I appear happy and carefree as nothing has happened. On the inside I am in agony, crying and dying without you. Living with the loss of you as they said I must. Separated once again because they said our friendship can not be. Smiling as people walk by me not showing emotions that I wish I could stand up and scream for people to hear me. Who would listen? Who would care? No one. I want to disappear as a wall flower. No one looks. No one sees. Would anyone notice? Would anyone care?
Your friendship set me free. Sharing memories of long ago. Of laughter,Sunshine and the stars. Your friendship set me free. It healed me and made me forget this broken body I lay in. You shared with me dreams and thoughts forgotten. You remembered me and that was a gift no one will take away from me.
I have lost you because they said it was wrong to be friends and it should never be. They said you would not notice you would not care. I must let you go and set you free. Forcing me to say good bye and walk away.
Although the seasons we shared were brief and far apart from one another, it is a whole lifetime of memories and dreams that are ours to keep and they belong to no one but us. You remain in my dreams as I will go through the path of life I chose for me long ago and remember small regrets of not one kiss, not one embrace did we share. Searching for you I always will. You have not lost my heart but have stolen my soul. Please come in to my dreams once again we shared a lifetime ago. Please come into my dreams once again to set me free. Will you forgive me for walking away?
