Poetry that expresses powerful emotions and general life concepts. |
The road goes on Darkness creeps along the road' a traveler walks bearing his load, as thoughts creep up of times long past, memories of happy times that didn’t last, and though the load could swallow him whole, and the earthy trail has taken its toll, he just keeps on going, keeps on going, going, knowing, the road gets better up ahead. Lifes Gifts little happy moments easy to miss, the slight smile creeping at your lips, small joyful times of bliss, are just some of life’s little gifts. Long Gone The great Oak stood both ancient and weary, the small sapling sat swaying and cheery, the great Oaks limbs groaned and creaked, the thick long roots had long ago found the water they seeked, the small tree saluted the morning sky, Its strong gangly branches outstretched high, the Oak who’s time was immeasurably long, it diminishing life has now gone, the wind has swept it to the ground, its gnarled branches and twigs all wound, but the little tree lives on, as will another when that is long gone. Mind thoughts swiveling around, in an empty penetrating silence, when the mind is at rest, peacefully, moments gliding by quietly, slowly, listless wanderings far off, comforting silent sounds known nowhere else, only here, In the comfort of your own thoughts, coming together even as you read this Silence Penetrating, thoughtless, Dark, whispering, wordlessly, Lovely, quiet, moments, nodding, soundlesly, tranquil, lulling, peace, slipping by Disconected, random, thoughts, sawarming listlessly. Joy This is a poem that expresses the fleeting emotion that is joy. In the smallest moments, the littlest hints of a smile, that as insignificant as it may seem, brightens the day because it is a beautiful experience we all share, because it will come again, and when you are down, and it feels like you can never be up again, It lifts you like nothing else can, this is a poem that extracts the vivid joys in life. Life The string was snapped, her life complete, her strength sapped, ready to admit defeat, as we all will once within this life, that’s filled with joy, and menacing strife, but life is not a toy, and once taken cant come back, So take this lesson 'ere, death is both far and near. |
