Its dark and she knows not who she is
Only that she exists
She looks around, screams hopelessly
No one comes to her rescue
She panics
She sleeps

A gentle touch
A familiar hand
She's startled and looks uncertain
Thoughts race at unheard of speeds
Her heart pounds
Her head hurts
Could this be the work of a man?

A glimpse of herself, so beautiful
So pure
How could love betray this little girl?

She cries
She hurts
She's afraid of tomorrow
It might hurt more then yesterday
She reaches out
Comes back empty handed
A glimpse of now, so devastating
So cold
Eyes so similar
