Burning, smoldering

Consuming me

This love has grown and grown

Your Word and works

The Kindling and Wind

To fan the flame so bright

Your Spirit has become

A part of me

Melded and fused together

But the war for my soul

Grows evermore too

Being pulled back terrifies me

The Wind is cut down

The Kindling lost

As we are pried apart

The joy inside

And all of the love

Quickly disappear from my heart

So gather the wood

Take a deep breath

Don't let the fire be quenched

As long as that's done

And there's still an inkling of love

I know I can't be completely dead.
