Pain and Me

Pain mixes with your memories,
and disturbs your thought process.
Pain attaches things in your brain,
that do not go together.

And when something reminds you,
of a time when you felt it,
Pain causes irrationality,
disturbing and confusing all logic.

If only it would stop being,
so destructive and crazy.
Then maybe I could be myself
live to my potential, get things done.

But now I am overwhelmed by the
Pain that now meddles in my brain.
This horrible side effect,
that drives me from stability

For all I want (and need)
to be, is me.
