"There are eight elements of music, " Mr. Ackerman rambles on in his monotone-lecturing voice as he leans against the oak piano. "Melody, pitch, rhythm, harmony, consonance and dissonance, dynamics, texture, and form of structure."

The chestnut haired man wrings his hands together as if getting ready for something larger than himself. He appears genuinely interested in what he's talking about. He goes to the blackboard and, in his very elegant hand-writing, chalks the word Melody on the green surface.

"Melody is a series of notes sounding in succession. The melody . . ."

Jeremy leans over your shoulder and whispers, "He can talk for days about music!"
