HE CAME FOR ME

Heaven must be beautiful, and peaceful up above.
Why would anybody leave a place, where you're wrapped up in love?
All of us on earth self centered; We're so thoughtless, even cruel.
What we deserve, is not what God, in heaven planned to do.

He ca~me for me.
He left paradise so I could see.
I was worth it to him.
He could walk in my skin.
So I could know that he knows how I feel when I pray.
He came for me to learn the way.

Jesus left his throne in Heaven, next to his father's side,
to become a baby wrapped in rags, where animals abide.
Jesus knew all he must endure, all the pain that he'd go through.
Even as a child teaching priests, he knew what he came to do.

He ca~me for me.
He left paradise so I could see.
I was worth it to him.
He could walk in my skin.
So I could know that he knows how I feel when I pray.
He came for me born Christmas day.

When Jesus grew up he taught of God's love, a father to all men.
Even though he knew he'd die at our hands, to save us from our sin.
His power could've saved him, But he came to save us, its true.
As he died, he cried, "God forgive they know not what they do."

He ca~me for me.
He suffered and died so violently.
I was worth it to him.
He let them pierce his skin.
So I could know that he knows my pain when I pray.
He came for me and died that way.

Back in Heaven again with his father, earth rejected him.
Why would he ever do anything, to help save us again?
They rewarded him with hate and mocked him, and spat at him in the face.
Would you return their hate with love, and come back in his place?

He ca~me for me. 
Lives again to fulfill prophesy.
I was worth it to him.
He left Heaven again.
So I could know that he's the Christ, and that faith is the way.
He came for me raised Easter day.

He ca~me for me.
Taught apostles so I could see.
They wrote it all down.
I know he's still around.
Faith in Christ and God, the bible shows us the way.
He'll come again for me someday.
