What makes a family '

On my family tree, there are many different limbs,
Many branches more, directly connected to me.
But blood without a heart, is an insignificant part,
If there's no connection, like the one you share with me.

You're not related to me,
but you're more family,
then some of those drawn of my own blood.
You're not related to me, but you don't have to be,
what makes a family is trust, reliance, and love.

Maybe you don't know, I consider you so dear.
You've become someone, very important to me.
You don't always say,Thank you to the ones you love,
but Thank you for being, the best friend you could be.
