Last tear

last tear

in the night,

i lay awake.

thinking of something horrible,

that will heal my heartache.

i'm too stressed to sleep,

and yet still haunted by dreams.

in the background i hear,

piercing screams and sobs of a broken team.

but from me,

there isnt a sound.

to numb and weak,

like my feet never touched the ground.

one last tear escapes my eye.

though i cant feel emotions through me fear,

i'm letting go of everything tonight,

my life, my nightmares, and all who are dear.

forget my past, forget my future

past left behind and nothing's ahead.

all but the present,

here, alone in my deathbed.

nothing is left now,

just a lifeless me.

with my last tear drying on my face,

and my warm blood running free.
