...temptation, love...
THE PIECES

There is nothing of this multitude that I can chisel out,
Unless words begin to ripple, ripe with something,

Some things cannot be understood alone,
deep down, deeper, deep down, even still,
With or without this insight the past remains unchanged,
so what difference does it make?  None,
but I want to know your past, to find something
that will fixate those moments of shear sorrow,
Sorry for any regrets you may have,
Sorry for the sorrow that will not disappear,
Unless words begin to ripple, ripe with something,

Some things are only silly fears that we choose to ignore,
secretly, openly, always, never, I shouldn't care but I do,
I care for you, I care for what makes you,
Some things need the truth to end uncertainty,
Tell me who you fucked, who you got off, how you fucked up;
the motivator,
why you choose to call yourself a "slu", in front of me,
there must be a reason for letting me hear, clearly it burns...yearns,
I will not know,
Unless words begin to ripple, ripe with something,

Somethings must be said, to avoid all these false fucking escapes,
You fucking say the words, you fucking say the words,
you fucking say the words, you fucking say the words,
you fucking say the words...or the reasons for their silence,

We came from separate paths, now crossed,
and even though they join, I can sense their parallelism
in a multitude of experiences, someway, somehow,
All I want is you, yes you, but you are not entirely here,
Where have you placed the pieces?  With whom do you leave the pieces?
The pieces that you refuse to give to me,
I am crestfallen,
Unless words begin to ripple, ripe with something,

Some things parade down my open spine...sending shivers,
You say the fucking words, you say the fucking words
or the reasons for their silence, so that I may know
which of my own pieces to leave behind
or I shall forever fade in the sorrows, So speak
and I will still come to you, with deep affection,
but I will never love you,
Unless words begin to ripple, ripe with something,
ripe with your love.

IF ONLY

What hurts the most is that you will carry on, unfazed;
tomorrow's just another guy,
and it kills me,
I was never mad at you, I only thought that you were mad at me,
I feared the sorrow,
and it kills me,
I never actually loved you, I only said it because I believed
it was what you wanted to hear,
and it kills me,
It was all for you,
and it kills me,
I wanted to be your friend, share experiences, not "love",
and it kills me,
We both know that word,
and it kills me,
We both didn't want to use it,
and it kills me,
We both understand,
and it kills me,
There was so much I wanted to show you,
and it kills me,
If only, if only.

TEMPTATION

How did I get to where I am,
so far the place I ought to be,
Through the door and out the other,
it always seems that way to me,
Passing shipwrecks, then another
cast upside-down and in a blaze,
Colours orange, red and yellow,
is the first the last ones haze?

And when the rhythm takes control,
slow motion sequence, getting closer,
Rhythm moving, taking over,
flashing sequence closing in...TEMPTATION.

So, I stare at fantastic lights,
thoughts lost in electrical fires,
It's what's keeping me sane at night
in the heating of its wires.

And when the rhythm takes control,
slow motion sequence, getting closer,
Rhythm moving, taking over,
flashing sequence closing in...TEMPTATION.
