Several poems; variety of topics. Enjoy!
                                      Misconceptions

On my face you see a smile
But its a grimace, hiding the pain

You see me as the loner
But im hiding, hiding my shame

I cry, but you don't see
You see waterey eyes instead of tears

You think I shiver from the cold
    But I'm quaking with fear

    You don't see me
    You see what you "should"

Im a beggar with no home
But all you see is that Im no good

    Slow down
    and take a deeper look

    You can't judge me
like the cover of a book

                              Child

    Wide eyes bright
    So innocent, but not
    Almost forgot
    in the starry, starry night

    Seeing and remembering
    Absorbing like a sponge
    Taking the plunge
    Onto greater things

    You shape and mold
    From thoughts, you see?
    Ignoring the plea
    The hand you hold

    Soon to come
    Future in retrospect
    Make sure you respect
    The voice of freedom

                                    The Christian's Anthem

    As His people
    We are exposed
    But our views, on others,
    We won't impose

    Politically correct
    We soften our views
Then in church all we're doing
    Is warming the pews

    At the mall,school, or work
    We're like everyone else
    So we don't stand apart
    Our faith we shelve

    But as God's people,
    Shouldn't we move?
    Our walk with him,
    We should improve

    We are called to go,
    So why do we stay?
    Share your faith,
    Do not stray

    Live like you're saved
    Account for your hope within
    Draw others to Christ
    So He'll forgive their sins

    So onward Christian soldiers!
    Fight the righteous fight
    Act upon your calling
    And sleep in peace tonight

                              My plea

    You're always helping others
    The glory not to God
You play hero in your world
But I find that to be odd

You say now is more important
    Eternity can wait
But for a moment stop to think
What if later is too late?

    Today you're helping others
Doing wht you feel you should
But if forever is for real
    are you doing any good?

    Leaving forever up to fate?
You put off what you should do today
I've cried and cried to no avail
Now all I can do is pray

            The Easter Miracle

He has the scars on his feet and hands
From where our sins had nailed him
He has the hole in his side
From all of the times we've failed him

But Him and God had this all planned
    That if we should fall
That Christ, the only son of God
    Would die for us all

Three days in the Earth he lay
    Sleeping in the ground
But when Mary came to pay her respects
Jesus was no where to be found

    Instead a kind gardener
    Calmed all of her fears
    Telling that her beloved Jesus
    was alive, but not here

    Just who was this gardener?
    This wise and holy man
Why... he was Jesus in disguise!
    What a cunning plan!

So to the 500 he appeared
And doubting Thomas touched his side
    His resurection was complete
    There was nothing to hide

    Becuase he rose
    That's why we're saved
    Keep that in mind
    This Easter Day

              Inkblossom

Shrouded in the debris of life
    I am barely hanging on
I thirst, and lust, and strive for light
    Yet my petals are withdrawn

    Covered in a murky sludge,
    That is society today
I find it hard to carry on
    For strength I consistently pray

Like a thorn among the roses,
I prick most who venture near
To the naked eye I seem a weed
To many, my vision is unclear

But soon the gardener will come
    And un-ink my blotted husk
My inner beauty to be revealed
Like the fading of the dusk

    So with my snow-white petals
I will stand with head held high
For through out the trials I've reamined pure
To earn my place in the sky

                    Unwanted

    Among a garden of roses
    I am but a thorn
    They; so delicate and beautiful
    I; so plain and worn

    But wait! Someone picked me!
He hold me gently like the rest
    Have I truly been chosen
As his favorite and the best?

No! Now I am cast aside
I was not picked but pruned
    Strewn aside like a weed
    I am completely ruined.

                  The Plant

    It is growing
    Roots going deep
Taking form in mind and body

    Thought to be temporary insanity
    Its undying power
    Cannot be matched

The greatest man on his knees
    Left a sobbing wretch
    Simply because of it

    As soft as Babies Breath
    Gentle as the spring
    It brings joy

    Many faces, unending life
Always has been and will be...
    Love
