untitled Poem -simply a heart thought

_____________________________

The Leaves on the trees
Change slowly to yellows and reds

And the sea calls out my name
With sighs of waves crashing on the shore

I hear my heart call out to you
Long pauses of silence scream your name

Finding inside of me a patience I never new
And wondering fragile through the land

You are love to me.
You are love to me

Where are you now?
What do my lovers eyes see

Burying my head in my hands I weep
For you, for me... For love

Hold strong my love. Take up your sword
And defend the world from the world

As you grip your hands around your weapon
My hands grow cold.

Remembering your touch is hard for me
Even when you are close. I know

You will leave again and again
For love you say. for love

As my eyes fill with tears of loneliness
My heart still holds strong. hoping

Someday I know you will retune to me
Someday I know ...

As I pass through the trees
I watch the seasons take time from us.

I see the colors change and wonder where you are
I see the leaves wither and die

And wonder why beauty comes so close to death
So close to see. Touching the fallen leaves I reach out my hand to your face

Only to keep reaching
Only to keep reaching

Come let me hold you
Come again let me kiss you

She calls to him
As the horse carries him away

She stands there after he is gone, staring
Off down the road. Wondering

Where has this road taken her
Where does it lead

She sings to remember who she used to be
And once again the woman... renews her faith

And riding far
She rides to him

He will come home to her someday
He says as he gallops away

But home is where he is
Not where she waits.
