The Hearts Storm


The wind howls,
ripping through the still night sky.
A wind as sorrowful and cold as the
ashes in the ruins of my
heart.

The sky trembles,
and rain begins to fall,
disguising my tears,
and drowning my
soul.

To love in vain is to
have loved not at all.
We stumble, then rage;
in pain, we
fall.
