Dear Me

Dear Me,

This is your year girl! The world is waiting for you to come along and stand it up on its hind legs and make it take a bow to you. 

You have come through the fire of these past few years.  You have survived the wait of a fifteen month tour of duty in Iraq for your son.  You have nursed your husband back from a debilitating stroke. Your in the middle of the “I don’t know what I want to do”  junior year of high school with your daughter and with God's grace and the patience of many friends and relatives you have come through and survived. This will be the year you make every hungry day,  sleepless night, and middle of the road car break down you have ever had all worth it.  YOU CAN DO THIS!

You will see the fruit of all your laboring grow into that budding, oh so successful career as an author you have wanted from the time that you started keeping a diary at the age of 9.

You will start by writing a book proposal that will leave no question in the mind of a publisher  that your book is the next Best Seller.  This year, 2008, belongs to you.
This new year is calling you, pick up that pen and paper and start writing!    This is what you deserve to have happen in your life.  No more lingering and self doubt, you are a strong woman who has gone through her share of triumph and tragedy, so now its your turn to shine.

Now that 2008, your year of "Living Dangerously", has come and "no time is like the present", work your magic, snag that contract, and see yourself on the Best Sellers List this year.  YOU CAN DO THIS!

So, note to self:  finish that manuscript,  write that "I have to publish this book" book proposal,  get that contract, and make that dream a reality.  No one can do it for you.  Only you can make this happen.  This is your dream and the reality of it is just around the corner waiting for you.
