I made this when we were sending Christmas cards to soldiers in Iraq. Enjoy.
'Twas a silent night,
A holy night
When a soldier did call home.
When his wife said, "Hello?"
He siad, "Babe, I Can't go.
I have to stay one more night."
As mommy cried,
A little boy sighed,
And left a note out for Santa to find.
It read:

"Take all the drumsticks,
Take all the planes,
Take all my toy cars,
Keep them away.
Deliver my daddy,
Safe as can be,
I'd rather see Daddy tucked under the tree."

And what did they find,
When morning did dawn?
A true Christmas miracle!
Soldier had come home.
