A girl who is lost in the midst of life, and needs to find out how to live it. |
Walking home she began to think. She was so alone. So alone that no one could cure it. It was imprinted. A mark of lonliness. A streak of days conisting of waking up alone, watching love movies, watching rain fall from the heavens and hit her panes of glass. Even the rain wasnt lonely. They had someone to fall with, a partner from the very begginning. And til' the end to hit the ground. She was lonelier than rain. Her days had a pattern. Wake up, watch the GoodMorning Show, coffee, walk to school, sit through school and watch the rain that had been falling non-stop for the past 37 days, go home, homework, eat dinner, sleep. It was constantly the same. No different. The rain had been fallling for 37 days. Not like pouring. Just a light mist. So it seemed to there was no possibility of straight hair, or perfect makeup. It didn't bother me none, but the girls at school seemed to have quite the problem with it. My hair was always in a low ponytail, rain or no rain, no makeup. Just bare for all of the world to see. Yet no one even seemed to notice. Her dad was everything but a dad. He was a business man, a classic, he was the guy you see in the movie, staying at the office until nine or ten o'clock. They were well off. The lived in a three story country home on the east side of town. It's that house when you pass by you automatically think "Wow, that's a perfect life.". My house, home, was nothing near perfect. Her home life was everything but that of a normal teenager. Her mother died of cancer when she was three. Leaving her dad with just her, and leaving her with no one but her dad. Hearing this may think she had a great relationship with her dad. No, this was not the case. They maybe said two words to eachother in one day. Yet, it didn't bother either of them. They were two different people. Two completely different souls with no similiarity. As I stepped onto my doorstep I noticed a package. It was labeled with no returning address, and it was addressed to me. I took it inside and sat it on the kitchen table. I went to the fridge and opened it. There was nothing in it exept for a few eggs and some juice that had been siting there for almost a month. I needed to go grocery shopping. My dad is never home so he just gives me money and I get what we, I, need.. I walked over to the cainet and looked inside. Some stale Doritos, but nothing else. I grabbed the grocery list from the side of the fridge and sat down to write one out. Later after I took a shower and ate fried eggs, and went to my room. I sat down and opened my laptop. I opened up Word and began to write. I dont know what I was writing. The words rolled off my mouth and onto my screen. I couldnt even see the screen. The line of words was strinuous, weaving in and out of my every thought. |
