This is a poem about rhetorical devices.
This is an ode to the victor imagery,
Who with blackened letters can create in the mind's eye a tree.
This is an ardent anecdote to alliteration,
Feverishly written with fascination.
Napoleon! Ah it must be allusion,
Trudeau brought me to that conclusion.
Hyperbole, the flashy cousin of the rest
Will remember to eat like a horse, or try its best.
As swiftly as a snake similie slides in,
Not to be outdone by metaphor, that beacon of light herein.
Harsh cacophony shatters conceptions,
Euphony is here as well with pleasant affections.
Paradox could end this rhyme,
But then we'd have an unoriginal original kind of time.
Swish, boom, bang, onatomatopoeia needs a turn,
To crash this poem and let it adjourn.
